I create contemporary still lifes and fine art portraits in which photography is the starting point, but not the end point.

In my autonomous work, I photograph flowers, vases, insects and other elements separately and digitally combine them into new compositions. Inspired by the Dutch Masters, I explore how light, colour, form and detail can come together in a contemporary visual language.

My first fully developed series, Alpha, consists of six constructed still lifes in which this working method comes together.
